Heh got this but i cant remember what i was doing to cause it now!

It seemed to continue on & complete the backup after i "jiggled with it" (can't recall). Is there some way I can verify that the backup's successful?
Or does the built-in verify notify you if it wasn't?

I've just realised that this tool will have the same limitation as FEBE in that it's only effective if you always have Tbird running...
If you have it closed when a scheduled backup is due then the backup wont happen! This is quite a big limitation IMO, no disrespect to your beautiful work.

Hmmm...
Might have to work out how to 'CRON' backups of my profile folders on OSX.... Surely there's something similar I can do on my windows work laptop too..

Were you running a full profile or selective TEBE backup? If you didn't get a TEBE results report, the backup most likely did not complete.

There are a few different reasons the "Could not process extension/theme with GUID" message is generated. I will put in a more specific error message to help debugging.

Edit: That particular message is generated when TEBE cannot find an entry for the extension in extensions.rdf. Try deleting (with Tb closed) the three files named extensions.rdf, .ini, .cache in your Tb profile directory. They will be rebuilt when Tb restarts.

I just installed the (31-Dec-2008 04:28 8.0M) and could not duplicate the problems you experienced. What version are you using?

Hmmm ... don't know what the problem may be. I just installed Shredder nightly (01/03) and downloaded/installed and it works for me. Maybe your download is corrupt?

I did try twice, will try again...
Finally seems to have worked..

But as previously stated as much as Id like to provide ample feedback..
I don't think this is the solution for me as scheduling only works when tbird is launched. Unless I'm mistaken?

Backup upon launch or shut-down is okay but often i may forget to do this and ensure a recent backup etc...
Plus it quickly become annoying when you're trying to get work done etc...

Seems to be working pretty well so far for what it's designed to do...

But I guess output from the results report isn't necessarily the most definitive way to determine if a backup was 100% successful?
Behaviour of the pop up boxes is still a little weird, they don't gain auto-focus etc..

Also I noticed in the schedule where you chose minutes that they're not appearing. You have to guess where the next increment of 5-min is...
Plus it would prolly be better if people could just type in the minutes they want, instead of having to chose from 5-min increments in a dd list...
