TEBE and Thunderbird 5

Unfortunately, it is not enough. I tried to do it, but backup did not work.
I also tried to uninstall it and reinstall it again, cleared TEBE preferences, but nothing changed.

If the changes made to Tb 5 are anything like the changes made in Fx 4, TEBE will not work. I haven't time to investigate it at the moment, but it's on my todo list.

With the new Mozilla rapid release plan, extension developers must be going crazy trying to keep up with their development and testing, especially if there are multiple extensions involved. I'm having a hard time just keeping up with FF and T'bird releases and their content.

Is there any way that some of your users can help you get TEBE up and running on T'bird 7? It's really a very handy extension and I'd love to move beyond T'bird 3.1 but I'm reliant on TEBE. I'd be happy to test changes for you.

Sorry to say, but TEBE development is currently on hold. The Thunderbird upgrade from 3.x and beyond involves similar changes that the Fx 3.x to 4.x upgrades did. Those changes required a major re-write of FEBE code. Since TEBE and FEBE share the same core code, updating TEBE is non-trivial. It seems that every Fx upgrade introduces new challenges (and bugs) and most of my time is dedicated to keeping FEBE/CLEO/OPIE working.

I will get back to TEBE, but I'm just not sure when.
