or can anyone code a testcase or something and see if this nslzipwriter can really create zip files with random uncompressed data of >4gig in size and if the result is really a valid zipfile that is compatible for instance with windows builtin zip folder, or 7zip or arbitrary zip util? thanks.

First thanks for Chuck for both FEBE & TEBE & for the new TEBE developer.

I'd like to report a bug for TEBE is TEBE beta(20120604_REJIG). When enabled, the Ctrl+Q shortcut for quitting Thunderbird does not work. When TEBE is disabled, the shortcut works again!

Unfortunately, TEBE is no longer supported (in fact, I've been looking for another developer to take over development of it). On the other hand, TEBE has been working fine for me for years with no updates, so whatever problem you are having should be easy to find and fix.

Do you have the error console installed (Tools > Error Console)? If not, please install . Open the error console, clear it and attempt a backup. When the backup stalls, exam the console and copy/paste any TEBE related messages here (use the search box in the upper right to filter for 'tebe').

Of course it may be that TEBE is indeed working, but just taking a long time (9GB is a very large backup. Mine are only about 116K). Have you tried emptying your trash and junk folders? Perhaps there are some old archives that could be cleared.

And yes, Tb must be open for TEBE to work.

Hi, I am a bit late on the scene, but I have just downloaded Tebe and it is very quick (on TB 28 which I keep as it is the last version that will run the Charamel theme which is very very good) and deserves to be kept, but it is beyond me to do this. Instead can there be a donation button just for Tebe, and perhaps if there is an income stream(hopefully), someone might find it useful to keep it running for some money?? Meantime, Chuck could at least have some minor income for his early work.

I'll most definitely donate to keep TEBE supported, it's an invaluable tool to backup my emails.

I hate Outlook wholeheartedly, and Thunderbird is the best email software out there, but there was no safe way to backup the Thunderbird data, until TEBE arrived.

If there is no one out there willing to take over the project, I might give it a try, I'm kind of rusty in coding, I do scripting often, but full coding / programming it's been ages since i worked on anything serious.
It'll take me a while to get up to speed, If I were to take over the TEBE project.
It'll be a nice challenge to get me back in the saddle

Hi,

recently I tried TEBE extension to backup my Thunderbird data.
It all went fine until I tried to connect TEBE with Box.com account.
Here I get the message you can see in the attached screenshot. Am I doing something wrong or has something at the box.com side changed?

I am using Ubuntu, Thunderbird 31.8.0 and TEBE beta (20130106_REJIG). If you need any further information please let me know.

Any ideas?
