context menu bug

Postby johnnyzero » Sun Dec 28, 2014 2:59 pm

There's a bug in the latest Paste Email v4.0 whereby the context menu item will randomly disappear.

Note: this bug occurs with my FF28; not sure about other versions of Firefox.

Does it randomly reappear also? These kind of bugs are hard to troubleshoot. Does it happen after visiting any particular website (e.g., gmail)?

Have you tried Paste Email Plus? It is a more robust version of Paste Email (Original).

Thanks for your prompt reply, Chuck.

I did some more testing using a clean install of FF34 on another machine, and I was able to easily reproduce the bug.

It turns out to not be random at all. Here's how to reproduce it:

If you right-click on an area of a page that's NOT a text input field and you select the Paste Email context menu item, it will disappear for good. The only way to get it back is to restart Firefox.

Thanks for the info. I'll put it on the list and have it fixed in the next release.

Problem is fixed. You can install Paste Email (Original) v4.1 from the homepage.
