PEP for Chrome Import - QUOTA_BYTES_PER_ITEM quota exceeded

Hi,

I paid for the Chrome extension as I was hoping to migrate from Firefox to Chrome.
After copying the contents of my back up txt file into the form, I get the following error when I click "save options":

Could not save data to Chrome server!
QUOTA_BYTES_PER_ITEM quota exceeded

It's only 7 categories, 47 pastetext items and 2 whitelist items, none of which are extremely long or anything like that. The back up txt file is only 14 kb.

Can you please help me?

Kind regards,

Apex

Go to PEP Options > Advanced > Data storage options and select Local. Locally saved data has no size limitations.

I have found and selected the Local option.

However, next problem: after importing, checking that it was imported correctly, and saving the data, everything is lost again once I close the options tab.

Are you clicking the "Save options" button on the left hand side before exiting? Also, you should use the "Exit" button to leave the options screen (don't 'x' out by closing the tab).

Yes, I did all that, yet it does not work.

Let's try something.

  1. Go to PEP Options > Advanced > Reset PEP data > Perform a HARD reset.
  2. Save PEP options and Exit.
  3. Re-open PEP Options and try to import the Fx data again.
  4. Does the message box show the import completed without errors?

Are you able to manually enter and save Categories and Pastetext items? Does your Fx data contain any encrypted pastetext items? If so, are you including the Firefox PEP encryption key?
