VLM, Basilisk is not the "future" version of Pale Moon. It is a separate product.
Please do not spread that rumor. It just happens to be made by Moonchild Productions, who also make Pale Moon. Pale Moon will continue to be developed.

See this announcement and this explanation, and that one, too. Oh, and this one, in which Moonchild explains that Basilisk will see little front-end development because it is for the development of his new platform. Also this one about moving Pale Moon to new platform which also clarifies many other points, and also offers a diagram to summarize.

See also this post; then read this post, and then this post.

P.S.: A useful glossary of terms

I've been trying, but Pale Moon is based on Fx v27 and FECT was written much later. Some of the APIs aren't working the way I'd hoped. But I haven't given up just yet.

Can you be more specific? Which ones aren't working?

It's been a few months since I tried updating FECT for Pale Moon and I honestly don't remember the exact issues I was having at the time. Other projects have taken precedence since. When I do get time to revisit it, I'll try to pinpoint the APIs that were giving me trouble and post them here.
