Basilisk 2017.12.28 and FEBE 8.9.3.1 Question

Postby chiaroscuro » Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:29 pm

I would welcome some advice
I am using FEBE 8.9.3.1 (from AMO) with Basilisk (2017.12.28) to back up and restore Profiles.

When I go to restore a Profile and click on "restore profile" in the Restore Profile window, I hear the usual warning tone, but unlike with Pale Moon restore, the rectangular "Warning" image bottom right of screen does not appear.

As a result I am not able to click on OK to start the Restore process

Have you any recommendations ?
Maybe I am doing something incorrectly.

Many thanks

It is worth perhaps noting that if I close with a mouse click top right, the Restore Profile Window
then the "Warning Box" then does appear bottom right of screen.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Interesting....
I have found that disabling Adblock Plus 2.9.1 resolves this whole question
I have, for the time being at least, removed Adblock from the Browser

I've seen this issue before. It is as if the popup window is 'hidden' behind the main window. If you are using Windows, try pressing ALT-TAB to switch between all active windows. You can also try minimizing the Fx window and the popups should become visible.

Another thing to try is changing FEBE Options > Advanced > Message popup style between 'Slider' and 'Standard'.

Chuck

Thank you
Alt/Tab is a possible workaround

Difficult to determine the exact cause however of this variable behaviour.
Simply moving the Restore Profile Window higher on the page, before one activates the restore, sometimes suffices to then help one
discover the pop up Warning message hidden underneath.
Sometimes not
