Invoking FEBE/CLEO from command line?

Postby tamer_lu » Fri Jan 11, 2008 1:18 pm

I keep a few categorized CLEO packages (developer, security, user, power-user, etc.) To update them I have to create a package through menu and popup dialogs, and repeat the process several times. Is it possible to automate the process through command line or script? Thanks.

Unfortunatley, no. CLEO is a Firefox extension and, as such, is very tightly tied to the browser. It would have to be a stand-alone executable for it to be allowed in scripts.

Command line tool

Thanks for a great tool!

A stand-alone command line or GUI tool would be ideal for this; this gets my vote for the wishlist.

I did some research and found out there are several command line options for Firefox. Maybe I could utilize the -chrome option to execute a backup. I'll play with it when I get a chance and maybe incorporate it into FEBE 6.0.

I wrote a Python script to create multiple item packages for Mozilla. It's called maddon.py and it's posted at
