Why can't I see the troubleshooting tips?

I was concerned at why I had not seen the troubleshooting tips, whether it was encroaching senility on my part, or just some blind spot - so I did some investigation of the FEBE/CLEO questions path to satisfy my curiosity.

The upshot of all this is that it might be useful to point directly to the FEBE FAQs, and to Trounleshooting Tips, on rather more pages, and higher up in those pages.
I could only find Troubleshooting link buried six down in the Announcements of the FEBE/CLEO board

I understand that's date-ordered, but it needs to be more prominently higher up in the order, IMO.
There are several versions of the FAQ, which could be consolidated (maybe using the extra pointers as intermediate links, so that existing references do not go unsatisfied).
There are also some intermediate link pages which seem to have no point to them, a direct link would do.
Also, it would help navigation to use page-names that start with something more indicative of content than "Chuck Baker's Firefox......" as tab names. (what I mean to say is to call them e.g. "Search Support Forum - Chuck Baker's ...etc.").

Presumably similar remarks apply for other extensions.


What I found:
Going to your main http://www.softwarebychuck.com/ there's a link to the forum, but no helpful pointers to FAQ or troubleshooting.
On to to forum at http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/index.php there's "Important! Please read this before posting", but again no links to FAQ or troubleshooting.
On to http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=6 "Important! Please read this before posting", again no links to FAQ or troubleshooting, but an intermediate "Please read the FAQ".
Going to "Please read the FAQ" http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=349 , one finds only a link onward to "FEBE Faq", which doesn't add much . Better to link straight there?

By this time I've a dozen or so tabs up, all starting identically with your logo & "Chuck Baker....", which means I'm having to remember which is which, or guess.
I'll suggest the obvious, to use page-names that start with something more indicative of content.

Onward to FEBE FAQs, there's actually no link to troubleshooting, again (is that an exercise in positive thinking & non-manifestation?)

Strangely, there are two versions of FEBE FAQs, two of them identical

(In this case you could justify using some as intermediate links, if you can't identify what is referencing them.)

Then there's an entirely different FAQ for the board itself [url]]http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/faq.php[/url] which one gets to if one spots the "(?)FAQ" next to the register/log-in
None of the FAQ sections reference any of the others.
But I digress.

http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/index.php does the spurious intermediate thing again, pointing to "New links to my extension pages" http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=8, which only points onward to http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1631

Well, I still haven't found the troubleshoot link...

(Is that just FEBE/CLEO unread posts, as suggested by the tool-tip at http://www.customsoftwareconsult.com/phpBB2/index.php ? If so, where are the archival ones? Oh, I see, the tardy tool-tip means "there are some new, unread posts" )
