It is only supposed to blink for one minute just prior to the scheduled backup. The 'backup is imminent' sound effect does not play during this anomalous blinking though.
- The full profile backup file should have the '.tbu' extension. Now it creates a file named profileTb{profileName}.fbu. As a result, TEBE cannot find the file during a full profile restore attempt.
Fixed. Incomplete transfer of code from FEBE.
cbaker_admin wrote:- In Where to backup > List/Reports > View backup history the links in the "Location (link if available)" and "Report?" columns do not work. They are displayed as links but do not appear to open anywhere.
This is not under TEBE's control. It depends on how you have TB's link handling set. In Tools/Options/Attachments you should find content types for "file" and "http". You need to set these as required. TB can't handle URLs so you need to tell it to use FF or to prompt every time and manually select FF. If you have ThunderBrowse installed (which I can heartily recommend), the links can open in a browser window in TB. This is the nicest solution I've found.
This is definitely something that should go into the TEBE FAQ as it's likely to be a common question.
cbaker_admin wrote:Also, in the same report, the "Run type" column lists only "Scheduled" and "(Unknown)". The "Unknown" is most likely a reference to a manually performed backup and should display "Manual".
Also fixed.
cbaker_admin wrote:- The reports Where to backup > Backup destination directory > View backup destination directory and Where to backup > List/Reports >View last backup directory should open separately in new tabs. There are also no report titles in the tab header.
This is down to the problems with the custom tab code. I am currently unable to control those factors. I also noticed that the directory listings opened from Advanced/Directory Info use the built-in display. There are pros and cons between having the custom pane and using the default display but I've changed those you mention to use the default display. I think this is the best choice as it's standard, consistent with FEBE, you can open subsequent links from the list in FF and then navigate as expected and, again, if you use ThunderBrowse, they work beautifully within TB.
cbaker_admin wrote:- The TEBE User-defined backup list data is stored in a file named tebeUserDefinedBuData.json and should always exist. You should probably check for this file when opening the options dialog and create it if necessary.
Yes, I discovered that. That should be OK. Did you have a problem with it?

Removed from the options dialogue and help text.
There were also a couple of regressions, unfortunately, and I tidied up quite a bit.
